“Chic, modern and functional at every turn”
An easy walk to Mornington’s hub, these two (of four) double storey townhouses reflect an outstanding example of urbane living on the Mornington Peninsula. Located on a block of just four units these cutting edge homes reflect a contemporary yet relaxed lifestyle. Another spectacular development by local Mornington developer, Joseph Alesci.
Joseph engaged building firm Hallbury Homes, one of the Mornington Peninsula’s most respected building companies with over 24 years of local experience. Specialising in multi-unit developments and knockdown-rebuild projects Hallbury Homes has also won several HIA awards as a result of their commitment to quality building and outstanding service.
In collaboration with Joseph Alesci and Hallbury Homes, Kate Walker of Kate Walker Design assisted in the specification and sourcing of all hard finishes. These included the stone, engineered flooring and the latest in contemporary tiles throughout.
PRODUCTS SPECIFIED
Modern Scheme
Main Flooring: Wide Board Pre-Finished Engineered Oak in Provincial Grey. Now the most popular type of timber flooring used globally, engineered timber is remarkably strong and durable. Each plank comprises two or more layers of oak wood placed on top of multiple layers of thinly cut hardwood and softwood plantation timbers. The wide Oak boards used in this project reflect a timeless space and suit any home style from ultra-industrial to period. Sourced from only sustainable timber plantations this product is also a winner for the environment.
Adding warmth and texture to the bedroom floors, Kate specified solution dyed nylon superior weave carpet in Tipperaray. Durability and quality were key requirements.
Kitchen Bench top and Bathroom Vanities: 80mm Caesar Stone in Mosiazi Carbone. A bold statement piece, these bench tops are a standout feature. Caesarstone engineered stone surfaces are a sensible choice in terms of functionality when compared to products such as marble and granite for kitchen bench tops and splashbacks as well as bathroom vanities.
Bathroom and Ensuite Tiles: Floor to ceiling gloss white rectified wall tiles – simplicity and style. Floor tiles are semi-polished 600×300 Opal Grey Glazed Porcelain. These were also specified in the interior entranceway creating a consistent flowthrough design. Unique bathroom wall feature comprises 25×25 olive grey and charcoal mosaic tiles.
Every aspect of this project involved thoughtful and meticulous planning to ensure the finished look combines modern form with outstanding functionality.
