An absolute standout last year was KWD’s involvement in the hard finish solutions for BEAUTY EDU, an outstanding commercial project in Melbourne’s CBD.
Beauty EDU is a contemporary beauty school, teaching the very latest in techniques. At the forefront of their industry, Beauty EDU’s brief was to create a space that reflects their modern ideas and quality services.
Kate Walker from KWD was quick to decide on the perfect flooring. She could not go past the soft hue of Engineered European Oak floorboards in a white oil finish. They are timeless, sophisticated and a very practical choice for a commercial application. Whilst they are able to withstand heavy traffic the engineered timber can be re-sanded and brought back to new once they withstand serious wear and tear.
In another study zone, Kate specified pale grey 900×900 porcelain tiles. Clean, fresh and light, this flooring creates a chic contemporary area, simple and clean and easy to maintain.
To compliment the beautiful flooring and neutral tones of the facility, stunning rose gold lighting has been installed. It is it’s own feature and gives the space a genuine ‘wow’ factor.
