PROJECT: Esque Apartments, Willsmere Road, Kew

Working in close collaboration with developer and builder Virgon Construction, Kate Walker Design is excited to present the newly completed Esque Apartments. Located in Willsmere Road in Kew, this medium density residential project comprises 14 high end apartments and four outstanding penthouses. The development was a $7.3 million project incorporating high quality hard finish solutions throughout.  This large scale project, managed professionally by Claire Williams of Kate Walker Design, and Vanessa Marwood of Virgon Constructions (both pictured below) was another successful collaboration between KWD and Virgon Constructions. From the moment you enter the building along past the dry stone wall cladding, the tasteful design and quality finishes are immediately evident. In the lobby and common areas, Kate Walker of KWD specified the cutting edge striped carpet. Combined with the full height wall murals, and towering light well, the feel incorporates modern Melbourne living, with a French Twist. Inside, the apartments are a mix of two different colour schemes. Seen here is an example for the light scheme kitchen. Hard finish solutions specified, sourced and supplied by KWD include the Engineered Timber of European Oak in an eye catching oiled finish.  This compliments the stunning feature bench top of Pietra Griggio in a honed finish and satin white 2pac joinery. 
Luxurious 100% wool loop pile carpet in a neutral tone is used in the bedrooms of every apartment. Soft and comforting under foot.  Again, specified, sourced and supplied by KWD. The bathrooms are a key element in the representation of modern, stylish apartment living. Tiles featured here are KWD’s Tobacco Lappato porcelain 600×300 with feature tiles in a gloss Kitkat mosaic in the complimentary tone. The joinery is again, stylish timber veneer with a horizontal grain, and the bench tops, classic Caesarstone in a neutral and crisp white. In the lighter colour scheme, shown here in another bathroom, the Lappato tiles are a Putty colour in the 600×300 size. Again, the Kitkat mosaics were incorporated as the splash back, and complimentary blonde timber veneer was used to create a relaxed vibe throughout the wet areas.

This one-of-a-kind development in Kew showcases the latest finishes, fittings and fixtures both externally and internally.
