Main Flooring: Covering the floors in the spacious open plan areas and original entry and hallways are Engineered Oak timber boards. This type of flooring is a feature in itself as it looks timeless and warm. The product’s strength also means it will easily stand the test of time in the busiest part of any house. Specially manufactured step treads were also used on the striking staircase leading up to the master bedroom and ensuite. This material was the perfect choice to blend the original section of the home with the ultra-modern rear.
Carpet: Condo Plush, Forest. 80/20, 36oz heavy duty plush pile carpet was incorporated into the bedrooms as well as the private living space at the front of the house. This floor covering is both luxurious under foot and durable.
Indoor and Outdoor Kitchens: The finest quality Serpengiante waterfall, cantilevered benchtop has been incorporated into the contemporary design of the kitchen. Specially made steel brackets were required as part of the bench top installation to add extra strength and support. KWD’s mason was called upon to complete the work on all countertops throughout the home. Additionally, KWD’s joiner was engaged to complete all joinery throughout the home. Gloss white 2 pac, handleless cupboards with finger pulls were installed both internally in the kitchen proper, and externally for the outdoor kitchen/BBQ area.
Bathroom/Ensuite: Gloss white rectified wall tiles and pietra grigio rectified porcelain floor tiles 600×300 have been laid in the main bathroom and ensuite. The combination of the two tiles has created a modern and minimalist feel. Caesar stone in Snow was specified for the bathroom, ensuite and powder room counter tops, whilst high gloss 2 pac custom joinery completed the stunning wet areas.
Laundry/Utilities/Butler Pantry Countertop: Caesarstone Snow. Practical and functional, with a touch of luxury for a utilitarian finish.
External and Pool: Sawn bluestone pavers 800×400 cover the outdoor pool area whilst inside the pool itself, blue/teal 58×8 porcelain mosaic tiles are featured. Eco grass was also specified by KWD for part of the outdoor area. This artificial grass is maintenance free and looks entirely natural, remaining evergreen all year, weed free and naturally drought tolerant!
