The KWD portfolio is filled with incredible projects, both renovations and new builds, right across Australia. However without doubt the majority of our projects are close to home. Because of this we are in a very fortunate position to have a wealth of local talent we can call on and indeed recommend to our clients, from architects to plumbers to floor layers to electricians.

We are also often asked for recommendations for builders and having worked so closely with the Montique Construction team for a number of years now, we always feel excited to recommend them for projects that we know they will execute to perfection. Montique Construction is committed to creating interior and exterior spaces of positive influence. It’s the attention to detail that make the difference.

Explains Kate, “A successful collaboration takes efficiency, effectiveness, creativity, tenacity and talent, but most importantly, trust. No project is done by one person in isolation. There is always a team behind the end result. And when the builder and the designer trust each other implicitly, the results speak for themselves. Exceeding expectations is always our goal at KWD – nailing the brief, spending money where it’s important and saving money where we can, and delivering a project on time and on budget. Working with Montique Construction ensures we achieve our goals.”

Andrew Purdie, Joel Dempsey (pictured above with Kate) and Aaron Grover and their expert team of trades have a genuine desire to build the finest quality homes on the Mornington Peninsula. Explains Aaron, “With many years of experience creating high-end quality lifestyle properties, we work closely with our clients to build their dream home. Our team’s goal is to provide the best possible outcomes with an unrivalled attention to detail and first-class customer service.”

With our close association with Montique Construction, they were the obvious choice for Kate when she embarked on the renovation of her new home. Says Aaron, “Biscayne is an incredible property to work on, and it’s very special being Kate Walker’s new home. Working with Kate and the KWD team is always a slick and professional process. They have specified some amazing fittings and finishes, and every detail requires the attention that the design and the materials deserve. It’s a slow-moving project because of the quality of workmanship required that has to be spot on. We are focused, as always, on making sure that Kate is 100% happy with every aspect of the build.”

With their core business concentrated on the Mornington Peninsula and bayside suburbs, Montique Construction’s focus is on high end new builds. Says Aaron, “We are particularly passionate about new builds, and we have definitely seen some design trends emerging. There is a keen interest in single storey barn-style builds and architectural influences from New Zealand,” says Aaron, “that blend to create a style that work so beautifully in the coastal and hinterland areas of the Peninsula.”

“The real estate market here is going bizerk at the moment,” adds Aaron. “Sale prices are growing exponentially which seems to be a direct result of travel restrictions. Rather than holidaying overseas, locals are putting money into renovating their properties. And Melburnians are buying and building holidays homes and residences now that working from home is becoming the norm. A lifestyle on the Peninsula is certainly very alluring given its proximity to the CBD. There is a real sense of investment in the community.”

If you have a vision for your dream home but need expert design advice, it’s so important to engage professionals you can trust and who know how to bring your vision to life. KWD and Montique Construction could be just the team you are looking for.
