KWD Project: Marguerita Ave, Mt Martha

One of KWD’s favourite residential projects that we completed last year was in Marguerita Avenue, Mt Martha.  The property was designed by Mt Martha locals, DJE Design.

Our design brief was to create a Hamptons-inspired family home, and the result is this stunning new coastal house is perfectly suited to the Mornington Peninsula lifestyle.

With a location just a short walk to the beach, it made sense to work with a neutral palette to create a relaxed coastal theme.

We specified crowd pleasing colours, textures and tones, with a luxurious New Zealand wool grey carpet in the four bedrooms and wide oak floorboards throughout the living areas, which will age beautifully over the years.

Collaborating with KABSAV builders for the project, KWD focused specifically on the kitchen, specifying hard finishes that would give the best bang for the budget.

The result was a crisp white design featuring Carrara marble splashback and benchtops.

30The stainless steel appliances and walk-in pantry completed the contemporary, functional feel of the space.

22This timeless design aesthetic was carried through to the bathrooms and laundry which were brought to life with beautifully laid Subway Ash tiles, highlighted with the same honed Carrara marble used for the kitchen splashback. 4Large 400 x 100 matt white tiles were used on the walls in the bathroom and ensuite, blending perfectly with the simple and timeless white wall backdrop.

We are so proud that this beautiful Mt Martha property was sold in November last year for $1.725 million.

The vendors were delighted with this amazing result and of course the new owners are set to enjoy a fabulous lifestyle in this bright, warm Hamptons-inspired home for many years to come.
