PROJECT: High Street, Armadale

main

Sensational architect designed town residences showcasing appealing light filled proportions, bespoke finishes, high ceilings and a preferred Northern rear orientation; superbly positioned metres from High Street’s cosmopolitan lifestyle precincts and first class cafes and restaurants. This is how selling real estate agent RT Edgar describes one of KWD’s latest city projects.

The main living, dining and kitchen zone located on the ground level is spacious, bold and luxurious. KWD’s James Buddle was meticulous in specifying hard finishes that are exceptional quality, visually stunning and complementary to other aspects of the property’s design elements.  Working closely with the developer, James was intent on ensuring all of the project’s outcome goals were met, in terms of aesthetic and supply availability.

The timber flooring is natural oil engineered oak in a classic board. It features in all areas of the downstairs, including the separate formal living room at the rear of the properties.

The kitchen bench top and splash back are a true KWD favourite – reconstituted stone inspired by Calacutta marble. Striking, yet not overpowering, the stone is a classic feature. The white joinery and Miele stainless steel appliances complete the perfect kitchen package.

Upstairs in the bathrooms James could not go past the 600×600 Mountain Stone tiles. Creating warmth and style, the tiles were laid floor to ceiling to provide a look of opulence.  The stone-inspired tiles are very natural looking, providing the practicality of a porcelain tile, but the look of natural stone.

In the three bedrooms James sourced incredible 100% wool carpet in a charcoal hue. Under foot the feel is sublime. Wool carpet is also sustainable and can cope well with lots of traffic.

External flooring used in the rear courtyard are 600x300mm stone inspired tiles in a smokey charcoal shade. They are a practical choice as exposure to the elements will not be a problem for these strong, mark resistant porcelain tiles.
