PROJECT: Esque Apartments, Kew – Penthouses

PROJECT: Esque Apartments, Willsmere Road, Kew  Working in close collaboration with developer and builder Virgon Construction, Kate Walker Design is excited to present the newly completed Esque Apartments. Located in Willsmere Road in Kew, this medium density residential project comprises 14 high end apartments and four outstanding penthouses. The development was a $7.3 million project incorporating high quality hard finish solutions throughout.  This large scale project, managed professionally by Claire Williams of Kate Walker Design, and Vanessa Marwood of Virgon Constructions was another successful collaboration between KWD and Virgon Constructions.

We have previously presented the standard apartments in the project – Now it’s time to unveil the penthouses!  Still emulating the same stunning style, the penthouses take finishes to the next level, with a generous use of natural stone, european oak, 2 pack and timber veneer. The enormous outdoor terrace is definitely a feature of this penthouse.  Stretching the entire length of the property, the indoors and outdoors become one.  KWD specified, sourced and supplied the terrace tiles, which were a stone inspired porcelain.  These tiles ensured ease of maintenance, and a non-slip surface.

Inside, the penthouses are a mix of two different colour schemes. Seen here is an example for the light scheme kitchen. Hard finish solutions specified, sourced and supplied by KWD include the Engineered Herringbone Timber of European Oak in an eye catching oiled finish.  This compliments the stunning feature bench top of Calacutta  Marble in a honed finish and a combination of satin white 2pac and timber veneer.
Luxurious 100% wool loop pile carpet in a neutral tone is used in the bedrooms of every penthouse. Soft and comforting under foot.  Again, specified, sourced and supplied by KWD.

The bathrooms are a key element in the representation of hotel inspired luxury penthouse living. Tiles featured here are KWD’s Italian Pietra Grigio Lapatto porcelain 880×440.  So true to the real thing that the matching marble slabs on the bath hob blends in seamlessly.

The joinery is again, stylish timber veneer with a horizontal grain, and the bench tops, classic Caesarstone in a neutral and crisp white. Bathtub feature stone is Slab Pietra Grigio Italian Marble.

This one-of-a-kind development in Kew showcases the latest finishes, fittings and fixtures both externally and internally. If you are interested in purchasing any of the penthouses currently available for sale, please contact Tim Picken of Kay and Burton on 0419305802, or visit
