Flooring trends have changed and evolved over time, but carpet and floor rugs remain firmly in fashion. In this blog we take a brief look at some of the current options.
Sisal –Real Sisal is actually a species of Agave native to southern Mexico, now cultivated and naturalised in many other countries. It yields a stiff fibre used in making various products including rope and carpet. Sisal is currently one of the most popular carpet and rug products used across Australia in coastal homes and commercial applications. It’s a durable and long lasting material perfect for high traffic areas.
Wool – Soft and warm under foot, sustainably produced and made in an abundance of colours. Wool is the perfect fit for carpeting. Keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter, wool is also a great noise reducer. Carpets made from 100% wool should also outlast any other.
Solution Dyed Nylon – A tough manmade fibre, nylon carpets are for buyers on a strict budget. They generally lack the luxurious look and feel of wool but are never-the-less a popular choice in many homes and offices because of their durability and lower price tag.
Floor Rugs – Seen in almost every household around the world, floor rugs serve a multitude of purposes. From a decorative pop of colour and texture to dramatic noise reduction – rugs come in just about any shape, colour or size. The team at KWD can source the perfect one for you!
