My Happy Space Movement is a philanthropic project of the heart. Over the last four years, since the dark days of Covid-19 lockdowns when Kate developed this very special initiative, she and the KWD team have devoted their time, energy and spirit to building dreams, one room at a time. Kate has formed an indelible and lifelong connection with the inaugural recipients of her My Happy Space Movement, and she never expected the emotional ripple this philanthropic endeavour would have.
Importantly, we would not have been able to deliver these dream rooms for four special children and their families without the passionate generosity and support of the supply partners who donated their beautiful wares, and trades who gave of their time and expertise with such open hearts.
There were so many hidden heroes involved in the bedroom renovations, from the mattresses, bedding and occasional furniture, to the beautiful throw rugs, bed linen and decorative items, to the magnificent wall decal and neon wall art, to the joinery elements, painting, lighting, the electrics, windows and doors – every single element of these bedroom renovations played a vital role in the end result.
